What we're about
Come and play Games! Enjoy meeting friends, sharing some appetizers and drinks while playing great board, card, social and strategy games. Our group membership is relaxed and friendly. We play a wide variety of Euro and party games like Ticket to Ride, Sagrada, Dixit, Terraforming Mars, Qwixx, Quirkle and much more. We're open to learning new games as well as teaching those games we already know.
Upcoming events (4+)
Come play games at our house!
Bring a snack or beverage to share if you can, as well as any games you are itching to play.
Not sure how to play strategy board games? No worries! We'll happily teach you any game we know.
See you soon!

Let's return to games at Java Game Haus! Store owner Doug McNaron is generously willing to share his store space and ample games library with us on Tuesday evenings. Note that the price of entry on these days ONLY is $2 per person instead of $5 per person. We'll have table space set up. Gamer extraordinaire Fred Bennett will be our group's host.
Here are a few things to keep in mind:
Who: An invitation to all members of the Jacksonville Board & Card Game Meetup Group (http://www.meetup.com/jax-board-and-card-games/)
What: Another fun evening of board gaming with access to a VERY large library of both classic and recent board games
When: Every other Tuesday of the month from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.
Where: 11018 Old St Augustine Road - Suite 104 (just north of I-295)
Website: www.javagamehaus.com (http://www.javagamehaus.com/)
Ask about the Game Haus's membership formats! Membership at JGH lets you use the very well-stocked games library any time during store hours. This gives you the opportunity to try out the newest boardgames before purchasing them. They sell daily, monthly, and annual memberships. Please ask about memberships at the store or check out the store's Web site at www.javagamehaus.com (http://www.javagamehaus.com/).
Important Notes about the JGH:
-
Outside games are not permitted in the store. This is to prevent confusion between library games and personally owned games.
-
Eat dinner beforehand, or snack at the very nice Java cafe, or both! They have smoothies, coffee drinks, wonderful fresh pastries, sodas, fresh brewed teas, etc. Be aware that outside food or beverages are not allowed into the store.
-
Games from their games library must be checked out and checked back in at the front desk located just inside the door.
-
They also have a retail games section featuring the newest games (as well as many popular classic games) for sale. Members get a discount on the marked prices.
Come check it out and have fun! If you have any questions about our new Thursday night meetups please contact me at[masked] or contact Fred at[masked]. We look forward to seeing you there!
