What is capoeira?
Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian martial art and game that combines elements of dance, acrobatics, music, and spirituality. It was originally developed by enslaved Africans in Brazil as a means of self-defense and resistance. Today, it is practiced as a martial art and cultural expression.

What do I expect in my first class?
You will follow along with the class warm up. After the warm up, the Mestre (teacher) or an advance student will work with you on the basics. From there you will join the class in whatever the teacher is teaching that day.

We could learn basic capoeira movements and strategies, learn to play capoeira instruments, songs and\or capoeira dances.
