The Birth and Death of Meaning -- Ernest Becker

Details
Thank you to everyone for participating in an interesting discussion tonight. Towards the end of the book, the author briefly referenced Ernest Becker, a favorite of mine who authored two books selected in previous meetings (including the first meeting -- The Denial of Death). Let's go back to Becker for a third time with The Birth and Death of Meaning. In this book, Becker uses the disciplines of psychology, anthropology, sociology, and psychiatry to explain what makes people act the way they do.
The plan for this meeting is to give Tuesday night a try. I believe that there are pool tournaments on Tuesday nights, but I'm hoping that it will be a bit quieter than Karaoke Night. Looking forward to seeing you there.
