Jacksonville Poetry Festival 2026, Virtual Workshop, Featuring Deborah Grayson

Prompted! is a fun romp through poetry stems and art titles, as well as photographs that will provide the initial drive that prompts us to write. Have you ever heard a line of poetry or a music lyric that stopped you in your tracks? Have you ever seen a work of art that inspired you to have a conversation with it or to write about it? Well, now is your chance! Deborah Eve Grayson, PhD, LMHC, PTR, is a Clinical Sexologist, Poetry and Creative Arts Therapist, LGBTQ+ specialist, and grief counselor, who has enjoyed a private practice for over 40 years. Adjunct professor and award-winning photographer and author, Deborah believes that a healthy, respectful interest in all people promotes growth, inspiration, and positive change. Deborah is also the recent recipient of the National Association of Poetry Therapy (NAPTS)’s Pioneer Award for a sustained record of groundbreaking and exemplary work that advances the study and practice of poetry therapy.
