Afro Antillano is a musical tribute to the vision of a United Antilles, inspired by the revolutionary ideals of Puerto Rican Ramón Emeterio Betances, Dominican Gregorio Luperón, and Cuban José Martí. The album brings to life the pan-Antillean dream by blending Afro-Caribbean musical traditions, fusing rhythms from Afro-Puerto Rican, Afro-Cuban, and Afro-Dominican heritage. As noted by Tomas Peña of JazzdelaPena.com, this work "embodies a vision of a federated or confederated Antilles, expressed through the vibrant language of music."
