The Detroit Jazz Festival showcases great jazz artists classic, new,evolving year round and as with the September festival absolutely free.
On Monday February 23rd there will be 2 live tapings of Jazz in the celler. This second taping will focus on Drummer, composer, and educator Louis M. Jones III, a powerful force on Detroit’s vibrant jazz scene.
Louis developed a stylistic versatility that allows him to move fluidly across jazz, hip-hop, R&B, and experimental music. His credits include performances and collaborations with Wayne Shorter, Keyon Harrold, Karriem Riggins, Omar Sosa, and Elzhi, among others.
This is being taped for a later edition of Jazz from the Celler which will be broadcast on FB live and YouTube
