๐ถ The Detroit Jazz Festival showcases great jazz artists: classic, new, evolving ...year round and as with the September festival absolutely free.
On Monday April 13th there will be 2 live tapings of Jazz in the Cellar,part of the Jazz foundations support and offering of the best of jazz all year long.
๐ SAVE THE DATE: April 13, at the Gretchen C. Valade Jazz Center at Wayne State University . It'll be Jazz After Hours, with two sets to enjoy.
โก๏ธ We'll be featuring bassist Langston Kitchen and saxophonist Steve Wood in the first set, and saxophonist Jeffrey Trent and guitarist Ian Blunden in the second, playing with a house band of Nick Calandro, David Taylor and Cliff Monear.
Doors will open at 5 p.m., with the first set at 5:30. Corner of Cass and Hancock; enter on the Hancock side. All FREE, of course. ๐
