Jubilé • Jubilee Montréal is a downtown church that is open to all and committed to pursuing holistic transformation. Not sure about Christianity or church? Got questions about God or life in general? We are a diverse community and a safe place to learn more--there are no requirements to showing up and you will not be called out nor put on the spot.
We had our launch event on Sunday, October 2nd. We have events each Sunday at 10:30am. The events last 1.5hrs and include some live music in which you may sing along or meditate on the words, a talk on the bible that is relevant to life (and that deals honestly with the questions that come up) and that aims to help you on your own journey. Our current series of these talks is: "A Quiet Revolution of Love"
Unlike many of the ways that Christianity has been communicated and perceived in our world, we believe that Christianity is actually positive and life-changing.
Has that been your experience?
We will explore if this is really the case by going back to the source and looking at the stories and teaching of Jesus himself.
The term 'Quiet Revolution' refers to a time in our history when, among many other rapid changes, the people of our province left the organized 'Christianity' they had experienced en masse.
We wonder though if the 'Christianity' that was rejected was the 'Christianity' of Jesus--if you will. After all, the people that wanted Jesus dead were staunchly religious folks.
