Let's eat and talk about Nightmare Alley by William Lindsay Gresham. It looks like the world is Stan’s for the taking. At least for now.
Nightmare Alley was Gresham's first novel and has come to be seen as a cult noir classic. It was published in 1946, and has been adapted for film several times, most recently by Guillermo del Toro.
