Floanne is a songstress performing retro tunes with a modern twist. Known in the nightclub scene as an interpreter of French chanson and the Edith Piaf repertoire, her band includes some of New York's top jazz improvisers. A refreshing blend of farm girl and urban actress, she is inspired by an eclectic range of performers and musical traditions. Her newest program contrasts old-fashioned romantic songs in a didactic presentation, dissecting with humor and wisdom the cliché that love can be.

“The last time I felt shivers down my spine was at Floanne’s concert. Her voice is very unique with a ‘je ne sais quoi’ hypnotizing effect.” —Agathe Leroy
“Floanne is elegant and edgy in her personality and has regal, glamorous looks like some old Hollywood beauty. She is a sexy beast and a musical pleasure. Her opera voice is truly gorgeous.” —Danielle Miceli
She will be accompanied by Ian J. MacDonald on Friday, April 4 at 7:30pm at New York’s Subculture (renovated music venue at 45 Bleecker Street), and Friday, April 11 at 9pm at the prestigious Miami-Dade County Auditorium, for the opening concert of the Florida-France Festival.
