What we’re about
Are you a woman in the world and find yourself wondering, what the heck just happened in the election? Are you crying over the triumph of tyranny? Regretting the loss of democracy as we know it? I am too.
I've been running this group for almost six years now, I've had a lot of great meals with a ton of fantastic women. We've been a social foodie group and it's been fun, but I feel the time has come for a change. We need change in our political system and that can't happen just once every four years, we need to participate in between presidential elections too. So, I'm relaunching this group as a means to do that. I've changed our name and our focus.
This group is for lesbians and their friends who want to make the world a better place in big and small ways by organizing, writing, helping, protesting, and generally participating in our democracy (don't worry, a lot of the planning for this will take place over food). If you are already a member, I hope you will stay and become more fully involved. If you're thinking about joining, I hope you do because you are needed. We are stronger together.
