Film and Discussion

Details

Come beat the summer heat in a cool theater! We have picked a movie for our time - celebrating the pathos, love, and joy that makes us human. "The Life of Chuck" is a film collaboration between author Steven King and director Mike Flanagan. This is the story of average man Chuck Krantz, told through three periods of his life. We will watch a notable group of actors panic, laugh, cry, and dance through this man's life.

We will meet at 9:45 AM to see the movie as a group on Sunday, June 22 at Angelika Theater, 11620 Carmel Mountain Rd., San Diego. (If that is too early for you, the movie is playing citywide and you can meet us for lunch at 12:30 PM.) Our discussion will be at the Broken Yolk Cafe, which is a short walk from the theater. Sign up here for the movie and lunch, and add a comment about what you plan to do.
