JHBMSDUG monthly event - August 2026

Join the JHBMSDUG team and developers/techies from all walks of life to learn together about new topics and why not even volunteer to speak at a future event!

18:00 Networking
18:30 Welcome and introduction
18:45 AI - What questions will you ask? (Speakers: Julian Hoets & Dustyn Lightfoot)

Why AI makes things up — and what that tells us about how it really works.
How fast the models are moving, and how we've learned to steer them.
What I've built with it — real screens, real guardrails.
Harmony: knowing who you are, and aligning AI with your principles.
Where it's all heading — interfaces, the global race, and how to position yourself.

20:00 - Closing

Don't miss out on this opportunity to enhance your knowledge of cloud technology and meet fellow members of the Johannesburg Microsoft Developer User Group.
