JIGG Tokyo Board Game Group

Looking for a fun and friendly group to play board games with in Tokyo? Look no further! JIGG Tokyo Board Game Group is excited to host a full day of tabletop board games where you can make new friends and have a blast. Whether you're a seasoned board game enthusiast or new in town, this event is perfect for you.

You do not need to join from the start, people come and go all through the day. Come when its most convenient to you.

Our Sunday sessions focus mainly on medium to heavy Euro-style and strategy games such as Terraforming Mars, Brass: Birmingham, Ark Nova, and Great Western Trail. We also regularly play the latest releases and new arrivals from crowdfunding — perfect for those who enjoy the “cult of the new.” That said, there’s always room for lighter and midweight games like Catan or Clank! for variety and to fill shorter time slots during the day.

Attendance fee will be around the usual 400 ~ 500 yen we charge for most of our other locations too, just to cover the room booking fees.

Station: Shinjuku (JR/Odakyu/Keio/Toei etc), Shinjuku-Gyoen (Marunouchi), Sendagaya (JR)

Fee (料金): ¥400 ~ 500 yen (depending on # of attendees)

IN THE VENUE

• ✅Drinking is permitted. Bottle drinks with lids are permitted :)
• ❌This is a no eating venue. The community center told us to please remind everyone about this rule.
• ✅Please take all trash with you. There are no trash cans at the venue but there are usually trash cans at the station / convenient stores.

If you are coming from JR Shinjuku station, get out from the South exit, turn left and walk along the Shinjuku-dori towards the Shinjuku-Gyoen park. We are at the northeast corner of the park. The closest station to the event is Tokyo Metro Marunouchi line Shinjuku-Gyoenmae station, right before Shinjuku. You can also us the JR Sendagaya station and do a nice stroll through the park to get to us.

Hi all

Back to a sensible 11:30AM start, like usual. Hopefully fewer clashes with other JIGG days from now on.

And sorry to all the new/newer people I haven't played games with or welcomed properly. You are very welcome, even if I haven't been the one welcoming you. Yes, that's too many 'welcomes'.

Please keep bringing your own games! Or asking for particular games or even just types of games to those of us who have too many games.

Unfortunately, we have increased the fee to 500 yen to cover costs, as Meetup and city halls have increased their costs recently. We're all sorry about that, but hope it doesn't deter you.
