Let’s get to the heart of yoga, not just the poses. If you’re curious about the deeper side of this practice, join us at Toronto’s first Urban Ashram for a special half-day mini-retreat— for integral development of body, mind and soul ✨
## What’s in for you:
We’ll explore yoga in ways most classes don’t:
- Bhakti (Devotion): We’ll sing, listen to music, and chant together to raise our vibration.
- Jnana (Wisdom): We’ll discuss and learn about yoga’s principles and ways of living in modern life
- Raja (Asana - Meditation): We’ll move our body through 12 main asanas, sit and connect with our higher self
- Karma (Service): We’ll cook and share a meal together, lending a hand and supporting each other. Food is included 😉
YOU WILL NOT BE ASKED TO PERFOM, YOU WILL BE INVITED TO FEEL, TO SURRENDER, TO REMEMBER ✨
There are only 10 spots, so every person gets exclusive attention and support.
## The Schedule:
🕕 6:00–7:00pm — Movement & Pranayama Breathing🧘♂️🧘♀️
We’ll stretch, move, and work through classic poses.🌬️ We’ll cleanse our body and mind with Kapalabhati (cleansing breaths) and Anuloma Viloma (side-to-side breathing).
🍽️ 7:00–8:30pm — Cooking & Dinner Together🍲🤝
We’ll pitch in together to make a tasty satvic meal (vegetarian and fresh)l
👩🍳🧑🍳 Everyone takes part: chopping, cooking, sharing knowledge around satvic food and laughs.🥗 It’s nourishing food—straightforward, healthy, and delicious.👨🍳🫂 When the food’s ready, we’ll all eat together and talk around on the floor practicing ancient traditions.
🧘♂️ 8:30–9:10pm — Meditation🌟
Calm things down with easy, guided meditation.🕯️ No one needs any experience—just bring an open mind. We will teach the principles of meditation, how to sit and supportive ways that help you to get there.
🎶 9:10–10:10pm — Music & Chanting🎤🪕
Sing or just listen—group chanting and music to lift our spirits.
🕉️ 10:10–11:00pm — Group Chat & Connection💬🕉️
We’ll sit in a circle, talk about yoga, ask questions, and share ideas.🤲 Wrap up with some time for reflection, sharing what’s on our minds, and connecting with the group.
