The FAST & FURIOUS Online Bio Pitch Event

Powerful things can happen when the right startup meets the right investor, and that’s exactly what we, at JLM-BioCity, plan to do in our upcoming event. Seven startups will pitch to a panel of angels and VCs in a series of fast-paced pitching sessions.

The panelists will be:

• Raissa HaCohen – HUR
• Gita Reinitz – NFX Bio
• Oded Wachsman - Gaico

The seven companies pitching are:
• ASCENTO MEDICAL - Marvin Collin, VP Business Development
• BIOTA - Meir Haber, Founder & CEO
• COOLIO - Oron Zachar, CEO
• GYNTOOLS - Nimrod Lev, CEO
• IMAGE NAVIGATION - Lawrence Obstfeld, CEO
• OLIVE DIAGNOSTICS - Yaron Suissa, Head of Products
• PATTERNOX - Ofir Aharon, Founder & CEO

Here’s how it works: there will be a one-hour sequence of pitching sessions, with at least seven startups presenting for three minutes each, in quick succession. “If an entrepreneur has not won over his potential investors in the first three minutes, he/she has lost them!” In addition, the startups will be given feedback from the audience in attendance using an app.

At the end of the event, for those that are interested, there will be a moderated networking room from 9:00 till 9:45, where people will introduce themselves briefly and will be able to intereact with their fellow participants.

About the panelists:
• ERAN SHENKER, CMO (Medical Director), Merchavia
Eran has over 20-year experience in the technology and business development of companies dealing with medical equipment, pharmacology, and bio-pharmaceutics. Dr. Schenker was medical director at Kamada, Neurim, and Neurolief.

• RAISSA HACOHEN – Co-founder and Managing Partner at HUR.
Raissa began her career in the venture capital industry working for Jerusalem Venture Partners. She then worked in hi-tech at NDS & Cisco, where she consulted for ~$150 million of Cisco’s business across Europe and the Middle East. She founded her first startup, CareNav, in 2016 and has since run and advised a number of Israeli startups targeting global markets and international investors focused on the Israeli ecosystem. Completed her undergraduate degree at Brown University and her MBA at Hebrew University.

• GITA REINITZ, M.Sc. Principal, NFX Bio
Gita is passionate about funding companies at the intersection of tech and bio and leveraging her strong network to give NFX Bio CEOs an edge. Was a Principal at Tech.Bio where she worked closely with companies like C2i Genomics, Pepper Bio, Nanocarry, and more. Before that, she was in Business Development at LifeGene and was the Life Science Sector Head at Gvahim. She has also been a Research Scientist in the Nanotechnology Center at Bar-Ilan University. Holds a B.S. and M.Sc. in Biotechnology from Bar-Ilan University.

A very experienced entrepreneur with extensive experience in founding and managing Medical device and Biotech start-up companies leading them through all stages of technology and business development as founder and CEO. Oded is involved in forming life science startup companies and in business development, strategic planning, due diligence, and fundraising to various medical start-up companies, academic institutions, and venture capital funds. Oded practiced in Cardiac Surgery at Belinson Hospital, Rabin Medical Center, Received his M.D and M.B.A., Magna Cum Laude, from Tel-Aviv University.
