Job search NZ community group

Details

Your job search will mean at some stage you’ll need to tell a story about your experience and skills - typically in an interview. Over the last few meetings we’ve had our members who have recently found great jobs talk about the STAR model.

This meeting we’ll be talking about the STAR model and how to use it to craft your stories.

What to expect of the night:
5.30 - 5.45pm - Introductions
5.45 - 6.30pm - We talk about the STAR model and how to use it in your job search process.
6.30pm - Meeting ends / centre closed.

Please respect these ‘rules’ to enjoy our meetings:

  • Bring your own (BYO) drinks.
  • Practice physical distancing where possible.
  • Clean hands, good hygiene is expected.
  • Please DO NOT JOIN US if you have any SIGNS OF COLD OR FLU.
  • No hand shaking or hugging sorry : (
  • Face masks are optional - we welcome those who want to wear one.
  • Meetings will be limited to one hour, for now.
  • Please be on time as we will start at 5.30pm.
  • If you can’t attend the meeting, cancel early so others can come.

The centre is open all day to the public, you’re welcome to come earlier. I will be there from 4.50pm.
