Dr Jan van Niekerk is a Digital, Data and AI leader with a Ph.D in Computer Science (AI) and an Executive MBA, with over a decade of experience helping organisations navigate the intersection of technology and business transformation across four continents.
Jan has spent his career translating AI from theoretical possibility into operational reality, working across financial services, FMCG, mining, retail, and telecommunications. He has led large-scale digital transformations, built and deployed multi-agent systems in production environments, and designed the frameworks organisations use to assess and build their AI readiness.

His view is that we are entering a fundamental shift in how work gets done. Not just AI as a productivity tool, but AI as an active participant in business execution. The organisations that will lead the next decade are those building the infrastructure, culture, and operating models to move from AI experimentation to enterprise-wide agentic deployment, and doing it now.
