Getting started with Microsoft Orleans
In 2010 the eXtreme Computing Group at Microsoft Research created an Actor Model based framework called Orleans, that would eventually go on to power massively distributed systems like Halo, Gears of War, Skype and Honeywell Devices (IoT). In 2021, this project moved into the Developer Division as part of the .Net team.
