If you are looking for a safe and supportive way to improve your leadership and public speaking skills while meeting friendly new people and enjoying a warm and social atmosphere - you've come to the right place.
Toastmasters International is a non-profit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs. This Meetup group lists club meetings and events in Wollongong and surrounds, making it easier to find a club near you. All Toastmasters clubs are free to visit. Each meeting consists of 3 main parts:
• Impromptu Speaking
• Prepared Speeches
• Evaluations

Would you like to feel more confident speaking in meetings, at work, or in everyday conversations?
Whether you're new to public speaking or simply want more opportunities to practise, come along and meet a friendly group of people who enjoy learning, practising and having fun together.
Our meetings are welcoming, lively and well-structured, giving you practical opportunities to speak, learn from others and receive useful feedback — while making good use of your time.
## What You'll Experience

You don't need to prepare a speech or have any previous public-speaking experience to attend.
## What Happens at a Session?
Our meetings are structured, interactive and designed to give members regular opportunities to speak and learn by doing.
You can join us from 12:00 pm AEDT for an informal chat with club members. The formal meeting starts at 12:30 pm.
A typical meeting includes prepared speeches, impromptu speaking and constructive feedback. As a first-time guest, you can participate as much or as little as you feel comfortable with.
## When Do We Meet?
We meet twice a month — on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays, from 12:00–2:30 pm AEDT.
