Elevation Training Night Hike

We will be doing a training hike along Buffalo Bayou. Please read this entire post. This hike will be appropriate for all members and fitness levels. We have some serious hikes coming up, so you better get some training in!
This hike is challenging, but you can sit out whatever parts you are not comfortable with. Safety is always first. That being said, be prepared to suck it up a little bit. :-)

This is a very nice trail in the downtown area. There are several long staircases along the trail. At each staircase, we will do some alternative training. You may choose to climb the stairs or pause on the trail to do jumping jacks, push-ups, sit-ups, some yoga poses, or just stretch. You can even bring some little hand weights to do some arm exercises. This hike is meant to help you push yourself a little without killing yourself. If you really want to push a little harder, just add some canned food to your daypack to add a little weight. :-)

We will meet in Parking Lot H. This map shows it well: http://www.buffalobayou.org/documents/SabinePromenadeMap_012.pdf It is the lot all the way to the left on the map. We meet at the back of the lot near the overpasses...right by the trailhead.
