The SEVEN SISTERS for beginners: Eastbourne to Birling gap with Wendy

Ever wanted to hike to the world famous SEVEN SISTERS but don't have the stamina to hike 15 miles up and down some really steep hills yet?
Well, don't worry folks! Our new guide and one of my most faithful, most beloved and kind Jonion, the wonderful Wendy is now one of my new hiking leaders and is there to take you to stunning places for some shorter trips at an easy pace. As many have asked, this is now happening!

Most of you have heard of the Seven Sisters cliffs. This spectacular area is on the top of the list when it comes to England's most beautiful coastlines and for a simply good reason...it is a marvel of beauty that will blow your mind.
The white cliffs have amazing views from the top or the bottom and will amaze you, it really is a paradise on Earth we will start and finish our hike at Eastbourne.
We will walk to Birling Gap where you will have some magnificent sights of the Seven Sisters but we will not climb the actual Sisters. There will the two lighthouses, some pony and we will walk on the beach where you might be able to find a fossil if you look for it.

I know, you might have always been worried about joining a hiking group there, as, you know, this is one of the most demanding hikes in Southern England but worry not, there is a much easier way. You will see all the most amazing views without too much sweat. There will be a hill to climb at the beginning, of course I cannot remove all of the difficulties but we will take our time to climb. After that, the rest of the walk will be much easier.

Once at birling gap, you will have an hour to explore, have a coffee or an ice cream, to look for fossils or have a nap if you wish before we had to a nearby village to catch a bus back to Eastbourne.( 10 minutes journey)
Please ensure that you keep a couple of meters away from the edge of the cliff for safety reason, they erode very easily. Apart from that, you will have plenty of time to take so beautiful photos.

DISTANCE: about 7 miles/9.5km
TIME: about 3 hours plus an hour break

TRANSPORT:
By train; we will buy an off peak group days return that will allow us to save 35%on the ticket price.

A short bus journey. You can tap in as you get on the bus.

Waterproof shoes for the hike, preferably hiking shoes, otherwise good trainers;
Plenty of water

Our trips will not be cancelled due to weather conditions so please ensure that you do wear and carry appropriate clothing. 😄

2: Our trips are only refundable up to 14 days before departure( minus paypal and meetup fees), if you wish to cancel after that, you will be offered a transfer to another trip for the same price or you may resell your slot to somebody else.
3: If we do cancel the entirety of the trip on our site, you will be fully refunded.
4: A WhatsApp group will be created a few days before the hike, it is your responsibility to check any changes to the station or departure time on here or on the group.
