Join photographer Michael White for a hands-on landscape and astrophotography experience in one of California’s most iconic national parks. Learn how to capture dramatic desert light at golden hour, followed by a deep-dive into night sky photography under the clear, dark skies of Joshua Tree.
Whether you’re a beginner looking to learn the fundamentals or an experienced shooter refining your Milky Way compositions, this immersive workshop is for you.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Composing striking desert landscapes during golden hour
  • Settings for stars, Milky Way, and long exposures
  • Focus stacking and exposure blending tips
  • How to use apps for tracking stars & planning
  • Optional: Post-processing workflow walkthrough (email follow-up)

What to Bring:

  • DSLR or mirrorless camera with manual mode
  • Wide-angle lens (f/2.8 or faster recommended for night)
  • Tripod
  • Headlamp with red light mode
  • Extra batteries and memory cards
  • Water and snacks
  • Jacket (desert nights get cold)
