Buying land in South Africa

Hello friends.

I wanted to start a discussion about buying/owning land/property in South Africa for foreigners on a budget. Let’s say I would like to purchase a small plot of farm land at a very affordable price point and build a small off-grid cabin on it (solar, propane, water catchment systems). What would my options be? What to do/what not to do? Should I be looking at Eastern Cape for less costly opportunities? Any realtors here? Private owners? Off-grid developers? Anybody who can weigh in and would simply want to learn, please join. Let’s think together.
