What we’re about

Who are we:

Men living in the Arvada,CO area that seek friendship and connection with other guys in the community. We will meet in Arvada but you are welcome to attend from any town.
Our mission is simple, we look to gather a bunch of men who have a desire to connect in a way where we can learn to help each other to navigate our careers, relationships, fatherhood, and become connected deeper within our communities. You know…become supportive friends.
The goal of the group is to be as diverse as possible. This will allow us all to be exposed to the many paths forward to living a life with meaning. 18+ years old. Hopefully we can build this group in a way that gathers men of all ages and diverse backgrounds.

Who we are not:

We are not gurus. We don’t have the answers but we have our own experiences to share with others that might be helpful.
We are not warriors. Although many of us will likely be very physically active. (It is Colorado after all).
We are not all the same. We have a variety of personal interests that include music, books, sports, theater, personal health and mountain stuff.
We are not affiliated with a specific faith or spiritual path but we will honor your journey.

There is no set long term agenda here beyond strengthening our connection and friendship with other men in the community.

We are starting from scratch here in Arvada. As we gather, we will build this thing to meet the needs of the men who choose to gather with us.

Let’s start with some coffee and conversation.

Personally I’m new to Colorado. The way this place is growing, maybe you are too? Or maybe you have been around the area awhile and are still willing to add new friends?

The traditional way of finding your people takes a long time. Too long. There are ways to short cut the path to deeper friendships and one of those ways is to simply gather with the intention to do just that.

I have seen some research that points to the facts that “men”, in general, take even longer to find their people. (And sometimes struggle to keep them)

So, I’m taking a big swing here and suggesting if you are like me and want to find a tribe of guys to enjoy and learn from, how about we see if we can build what we are looking for together?

I’m posting this to gage interest. I know it’s hard to try something completely new like this. I promise- it will be easier and less awkward than you think. Ha.

The first gathering of the Arvada area Journeymen will be announced soon and last no longer than 1hr.

Beyond conversation we hope to expand the group to participate in things together. Some ideas but bring the things you like to do to the group and stir our interest.
