Are you a woman who loves travel?
JourneyWoman is the original solo travel women's publication, founded in 1994 by Evelyn Hannon, now led by Editor Carolyn Ray. We've grown to be a global network of over 60,000 women around the world who love to travel. We issue a monthly newsletter with tips and advice, travel deals and discounts, host a monthly travel book club, have expert speakers at our biweekly community calls and have a private Solo Travel Wisdom group on Facebook. We're also holding our first-ever Women's Travel Wisdom Retreat in October 2022.
These Meetups are an opportunity for you to meet other women who love solo travel, or those who want to try it! We'll share tips, advice, travel books, safety information and help each other travel safely and well. Deb Niven, Visionary and Connection Maker, The Divine Destination Collection: Deb is a true visionary and expert at making connections that can turn visions into reality. In 1986 she took on the role as the first employee at Wynford, which today is the largest Meetings and Incentive Travel company in Canada. Today, Deb is co-president at Wynford.
Carolyn Ray, CEO, JourneyWoman: At age 50, Carolyn left her role as the CEO of Interbrand Canada, and auctioned off all her worldly possessions to travel full-time after a transformative trip to Kenya with her daughter. A year later she acquired JourneyWoman, the beloved women’s solo travel publication founded in 1994 to empower women to live the life of their dreams through travel.
