This month we'll be taking on Git (http://git-scm.com/) (software for tracking changes in code) and GitHub (https://github.com/) (a website for sharing code tracked with Git). Combined, they are incredible collaboration tools - even for non-coders.

We'll be following the Git-it tutorial (http://jlord.us/git-it/), written by GitHubber Jessica Lord. If you're already familiar with Git, come along to help beginners and to share your favourite Git protips (mine is `git add -p`).

To save time during the meetup, please install Git on your computer (http://git-scm.com) beforehand. No previous knowledge is needed, although familiarity with the command line (http://www.davidbaumgold.com/tutorials/command-line/) is helpful.

Important information:
• Please add your full name to Meetup.com for our guest list.
• There will be no food so grab a bite to eat beforehand.
• Make sure to bring a laptop.
• Collaborative hackpad is here (https://journocoders.hackpad.com/Journocoders-June-2015-98H3O22kkEj)

Agenda: The session will run from 7.30pm to 9pm.
7.30: Show and Tell
7.45: Work through tutorial
8.45: Debrief
9.00: The pub!
