## JOIN OUR PICKLEBALL FIELD TRIP TO JUMBO’S (BEAVERTON)

A Joy Crazy® Pickleball Field Trip is a fun opportunity to play pickleball at a new venue with players you may already know. These outings are social, active, and filled with our signature “I’m Learning” spirit!

Please note: participants are responsible for their own transportation.

## WHO CAN ATTEND?

This event is open to pickleball players rated 2.5–3.25 who have previously taken pickleball classes with Certified IPTPA Pickleball Instructor Shannon Diffenderffer, M.Ed.
This includes:

  • Joy Crazy® students
  • PCC Community Ed students
  • Friends or family of past students

Important: This is not a teaching session. We will be playing Open Play style, so all participants must be familiar with:

  • Basic pickleball rules
  • Court etiquette
  • Safety expectations

Our goal is fun, flow, and positive play!

### REQUIRED WAIVER

To attend, you must sign Jumbo’s liability waiver.
Please arrive early so you have time to complete this.
Court play runs from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
If you have not attended a class taught by Shannon, please see the Intro to Pickleball classes posted on Meetup beginning January 10, 2026. After attending, you’ll be eligible for a future field trip!

## HOW WILL GAMEPLAY WORK?

  • 3 courts
  • Maximum of 18 players
  • Open Play format
  • Games played to 11 points (win by 2)

Players will rotate using a paddle-stacking system:

  • Winners paddles
  • Warriors paddles

Play will rotate between winner and warrior groups over the two-hour session.

This event is geared toward players rated 2.5–3.25.
If your skill level is higher, you are welcome to attend — we simply ask that you play in a friendly, supportive manner that does not overwhelm newer players.

## WHAT IF I AM A BEGINNER?

If you are currently rated 2.0–2.5, this field trip may not be the best fit yet. Please look for the next opportunity.
To help determine your rating, “The Pickleball Guru,” Prem Carnot, has created an easy-to-use player rating guide.
