Round 15: Polyglot Persistence and...

Details
Ashish Tonse - Polyglot Persistence
You’ve probably heard the old adage “use the best tool for the job” many times, yet we often use the same SQL-based databases to solve a variety of problems. In this talk, we’ll go over a few databases that are less popular, but might be appropriate for certain problems you encounter. We’ll go well past “SQL vs NoSQL” and dig deep into Geospatial, Time Series, Graph, Round Robin, and Columnstore databases, and what they’re good for. We’ll go through the problems faced by an imaginary grocery delivery startup, and how these databases could help.
Brock Wilcox - Random. Kinda.
You've probably heard the old adage "use the best tool for the job" many times, yet we often end up with a random blob of text on the screen that makes no sense whatsoever. Or do we?

We're looking for speakers! It's OK if you've never spoken before or if you've spoken hundreds of times, we want to hear from you!
We're looking for talks about anything interesting to programmers, come share about your favorite language or framework, or learn something new and talk about how it went! We're hoping for talks about anything but here are a few things members have mentioned wanting to learn about recently: Go, C, C++, Haskell, Erlang, and Elixir.
