JOY LADIES PRAYER MEETUP
The JOY Ladies Prayer Meetup is a unique fellowship for Christian women of all ages. It has a special format and style that creates a charming atmosphere and encourages Christian ladies to pray, build friendships and find encouragement. It is a modern day prayer meetup that is designed to enhance women's lives in a remarkably simple way– through prayer in a peaceful, supportive and Christian environment.
Here, we bring together women to enjoy quality time together as they celebrate Jesus. They do not necessarily all know one another; in fact, this is an event designed to bring ladies together who have never met one another. The group can be diverse in age and background, but all JOY Prayer Ladies should be open-minded and interested in prayer.
The Joy Ladies Prayer Meetup is held in homes. In groups of 3-12 ladies who meet at a particular home for prayers. The goal is to keep the group small enough to give everyone a chance to pray, contribute, fellowship and big enough to ensure that the conversation flows. Everyone should be able to fit comfortably in the home. We want to encourage friendship, fellowship and prayer where women feel warm, secure and cared for. Saturday is typically when we host The Ladies Prayer Meetup and a wonderful way to finish a week.
HOW JOY PRAYER LADIES STARTED
The first Joy Prayer Ladies group began in May 2014 at All Saints Cathedral, when a small group of friends began to meet regularly to pray. As ladies, they originally met to pray for the growing concerns of their lives. Over months, they widened the scope of their prayers and found themselves walking one another through a variety of personal challenges and family crises. Eventually they started holding monthly prayer meet ups at each other’s homes, these friends had grown as close as sisters and knew they could count on one another for prayer.
These first Joy Prayer Ladies began to recognize the powerful value of praying, laughing, and fellowship together in a safe place – in their own homes. Inspired to help other women share in the same enriching benefits, under the leadership of one of the Joy Prayer Ladies, Mary Ann Zita, they established Joy Prayer Ladies.
Since 2014, they have supported and held one another accountable through the challenges of growing as a godly woman, mother, wife, and friend.

What we do
PRAY. It is really quite simple. We want women, whether alone or together, to touch heaven and change earth through prayer. Our goal is to help inspire and encourage women – to grow closer to the Lord and deeper in their Christian faith. One way we do this is through praying. Whether that prayer is for a small need or big – it doesn’t matter. Whether you are new to prayer and feel uncomfortable praying or you are a prayer warrior, there is a place for you here. This is an inter-denominational prayer meetup. Because we know that prayer touches the heart of God, draws us closer to Him and changes the world! We want to provide inspiration, support, encouragement and resources to help lead you from where you are today into drawing closer to God!

What happens on your first visit
You will introduced to the ladies in the Joy Ladies Prayer meetup. Then you can invite your friends, soon you will be praying with your own friends and having fun too! Alternatively you can choose to make new friends in the meetup you have joined.
