# Body•Mind•Spirit Club
### Yoga for the body. Space for the mind. Conversation for the rest of you.
When was the last time you had an hour to stretch, breathe, get quiet, and have a conversation that went a little deeper than “How are you?”
Body•Mind•Spirit Club is a small, in-person gathering at Yoga at the Commons. We begin each Monday with gentle yoga asana and stretching. Once the body settles, we explore ideas and practices around wellness, meditation, self-awareness, yoga wisdom, modern science, and the questions that show up in ordinary life.
This is a club, not a lecture. You do not need to know yoga philosophy. You do not need to be good at meditation. And you certainly do not need to be flexible.
Come as you are.
Some evenings may leave you with a useful practice. Others may give you a new way of looking at something you have thought about for years. And sometimes the most valuable part may simply be meeting another human being and having a real conversation.
The original course describes the idea simply: ancient yoga wisdom, modern science, and everyday life coming together through gentle practice, meditation, discussion, and human connection.
### What we may explore
Yoga and the body. Breath and meditation. Stress and stillness. Attention and awareness. Habits and emotions. Sleep and wellbeing. Ancient ideas about the mind. What modern science can and cannot tell us. Relationships, meaning, joy, and the small things that make daily life feel more alive.
There is no pressure to speak. You can listen. You can ask questions. You can disagree. Curiosity is enough.
### A typical evening
We will start with gentle yoga asana and stretching , then slow things down with a short breathing or meditation practice. From there, Himanshu will introduce an idea or question for the evening and open it up for conversation.
The group is intentionally small, with a maximum of 10 people , so this can feel like a gathering rather than a class full of strangers.
### About Himanshu
Himanshu grew up in India and studied with yoga gurus and monks in the Himalayas. Much of his early knowledge of yoga and meditation also came from his Yogi father. His approach brings that background into conversation with modern life rather than treating yoga as something separate from it.
