[Joyful Hub] Intimate Korean-Only Meetup: Friendship & Connection ๐Ÿซ‚

Details

Hello, Joyful Hub community! Thank you to everyone who made our first meetup such an amazing success! We are so excited to continue our journey with our second meetup of the Fall season.

This week, we're going beyond surface-level chat to explore the very heart of our community's purpose: The Meaning of Friendship. To do this, we have a special, introspective mission prepared for everyone.

### โœจ This Week's Main Activity: The 'Relationship Map' Mind Map โœจ

Have you ever taken the time to truly think about the people who shape your life? This week, we will do more than just talk; we will reflect and share through a special 'Relationship Map' mind mapping activity.
You'll receive a worksheet and, like creating a mind map, you'll place yourself at the center. From there, you'll map out the different relationships in your lifeโ€”close friends, family, colleagues, new acquaintances, and even people you might have lost touch with. This isn't a drawing test! It's a powerful tool for self-reflection.
This activity will guide our conversations, allowing us to:

  • Share stories about the most important people in our lives.
  • Think about how we build and maintain relationships.
  • Explore how living in a new country like Korea has changed our friendships.

It's a unique and insightful way to open up and connect with each other on a much deeper level than a typical meetup.

Who is this for? (์ฐธ๊ฐ€ ๋Œ€์ƒ)
This meetup is designed for internationals who are living, studying, or working in Korea and are looking to build a genuine community. We are looking for people who want to form real, lasting friendships with local Koreans and truly experience the culture.
Meet This Week's 6 Unique Korean Crew Members! ๐Ÿ‘‹
This week is a special, intimate session with a maximum of only 8 international members. You'll have the chance to have deep conversations with our 6 amazing, dedicated volunteer crew members for this week:

  • Sunkyung (The Attentive & Supportive Friend): A calm and observant friend who loves sharing delicious food and is a fantastic listener for any career or life worries.
  • Hakjong (The Positive & Curious Connector): A super positive and curious friend who is genuinely excited to hear all about your home country, culture, and stories. Talk to him about basketball or coding!
  • Doran (The Quirky & Empathetic World-Traveler): An extrovert with a secret ambition to be funny! Having traveled the world, Doran is a great listener for any concerns and loves sharing different cultural perspectives.
  • Hyeonjun (The Cool & Caring Guide): With a love for running, coffee, and fashion, Hyeonjun might seem quiet at first, but is a surprisingly gentle and caring friend who gives the best cafe recommendations in Seoul.
  • Geon-yeong (The Adventurous Soul with a Warm Heart): A classic INFP who has been on mission trips to unique places. He's a friend who is up for both spontaneous adventures and deep, heartfelt conversations.
  • Hyunwook (The Global Explorer & Big-Picture Thinker): An NGO worker who has seen the world. Hyunwook is the perfect person to talk to about big ideas, different cultures, and what it means to live a meaningful life.

About Our Community & Korean Crew

  • This is a KOREAN-focused meetup. Our primary goal is to provide an immersive environment where everyone feels comfortable practicing and improving their Korean. We encourage using Korean as much as possible.
However, if you are a beginner, please don't worry! While many of our Korean Crew members are not fluent in English, we are all friends here. We will happily mix Korean and English to ensure everyone can understand and be a part of the conversation. Your courage to try is what matters most!
  • Our Crew are Volunteer Friends. Many of them do not speak English fluently, and this is intentional! It creates the best possible environment for you to practice real-life Korean.

โœ… Important:

  • To ensure a high-quality and intimate experience, this week's meetup is limited to a maximum of 8 international participants.
  • This is a 100% reservation-only event. Please RSVP to secure your spot!
