[Korean Language Exchange] Mar 28: Travel Korea via Board Game! 🎲

Important Note: This meetup is conducted primarily in KOREAN. (Not fluent? No problem! If you want to practice and make friends, you are more than welcome! We will help you.)

Ready to learn Korean in the most fun way possible? This March 28th, we are putting away the textbooks and pulling out the dice! We’ll be practicing our Korean naturally while playing a classic Korean board game.
Our venue is a peaceful church cafe, providing a super safe and welcoming environment. Coming alone? Don't worry at all! Our friendly staff will be playing right there with you.
Honestly, this is our first time hosting a board game meetup too, so please bare with us if we fumble the rules a bit (but don't think we'll let you win easily! 😎). There will be a small prize for the winning team and a tiny, fun penalty for the losing team (completely optional and just for laughs, of course!).
Just bring yourself, roll the dice, make some mistakes, and let's laugh out loud together!

[What is 'Blue Marble' (부루마불)?] It is the most famous and oldest board game in Korea, similar to Monopoly! Released in the 1980s when overseas travel was heavily restricted, it planted the "dream of world travel" in the hearts of Korean children. Even if you don't know the rules, it's incredibly easy to pick up. Let's tap into our inner child and experience the thrill (and despair) of the dice!

3월 28일, 이번 모임에서는 딱딱한 언어 교환 대신 주사위를 굴려보려 합니다! 다 같이 보드게임을 즐기면서 아주 자연스럽고 생생한 한국어 수다를 떨어볼 거예요.
우리가 만날 장소는 평소엔 평화로운 교회 카페로 운영되는 곳이랍니다. 낯선 환경에 대한 걱정은 내려놓고 안전하고 편안하게 시간을 보내세요! 혼자 오셔도 전혀 상관없어요. 저희 친절한 스태프들이 든든한 게임 메이트가 되어드릴 거거든요!
사실 저희도 보드게임 모임은 처음이라 룰을 설명하다가 조금 헤맬 수도 있어요. (하지만 게임에선 절대 져드리지 않을 겁니다! 😎) 1등 팀에게는 기분 좋은 소소한 선물이, 꼴등 팀에게는 아주 귀여운 벌칙이 기다리고 있어요! (물론 강제는 아니니 안심하세요!)

[부루마불이란?] 한국에서 가장 유명하고 오래된, '한국판 모노폴리' 같은 게임이에요. 해외여행이 자유롭지 못했던 1980년대에 출시되어, 당시 한국 아이들에게 '세계 여행의 꿈'을 심어준 상징적인 보드게임이랍니다. 규칙을 몰라도 주사위 하나에 울고 웃으며 어릴 적 동심으로 돌아갈 수 있어요!
