Long before telescopes, satellites or microscopes, some ancient texts described the world in ways that sound surprisingly modern.
A round earth suspended in space. Heavens that are “stretched out.” Rules on quarantine and washing, written thousands of years before germ theory.
Were these lucky guesses, poetic language we’re reading too much into, or something else? In this session we’ll look at the texts themselves, put them next to what science later discovered, and ask the obvious question.
Who is it for?
Anyone curious about science, history, or the big questions, whether you’re a believer, a skeptic or somewhere in between. No background needed. Questions and disagreement are welcome.
