Talk: Concurrency Without the Complexity: Unleashing Virtual Threads (Project Loom)

Abstract:
For years, scaling Java applications to handle massive, high-throughput traffic meant making a brutal choice: burn through expensive OS threads, or rewrite your entire codebase using complex, hard-to-debug asynchronous and reactive frameworks.

That era is officially over. With the arrival of Virtual Threads (Project Loom), Java introduces a lightweight, concurrency model that gives you the best of both worlds, millions of threads running on a single JVM using simple, synchronous, easy-to-read imperative code.

In this talk, we will demystify how virtual threads work under the hood, explore how they handle blocking I/O, and look at practical strategies for integrating them into your applications. Say goodbye to callback hell and complex reactive plumbing, and hello to effortless scale.

Talk: Create Agentic AI workflows and orechestration using LangChain4J-CDI

Abstract:
Java developers are now familiar with AI, and with the introduction of Anthropic's Agentic patterns, it's now simpler to build AI agents and orchestrate AI workflows using LangChain4J (a now popular, widely accepted AI library in Java).

Now, with LangChain4J-CDI, a subproject of LangChain4J - powered by CDI, it introduces LangChain4J Agentic.
Developers can build AI Agents, and orchestrate Agentic workflows by just annotating their AI services, just the same way you would an existing AI service.
All developers have to do is just inject it on their existing business service.

In this talk, we'll walk through all the Agentic patterns that LangChain4J provides, how to declaratively build your AI agents and workflows and let LangChain4J build your agents and orchestrations automatically.
