Richard Kolb will develop an PhoneGap GWT application from scratch that can be deployed on an iPhone or Android device and use phone functionality like the GPS and HTML5 offline storage while writing pure Java.

About the speaker:
Richard Kolb has enjoyed coding Java professionally since 2001 and is passionate about promoting Java and Open Source in South Africa. He was the test lead for the Oracle Glassfish 3.1 release and involves himself in other open source projects on a daily basis.
