Jozi.JS June - Learn how to learn
Details
Join us this June 25 2025
Agenda:
• 18:00 - Drinks and network.
• 18:30 - Talks
• 19:30 - Food and more networking
Join us for a night of code, drinks, and good conversation.
From API analysis to learning how to learn, we have it all this Thursday 🎨.
Lightning Talk: Endpoint Analysis
Endpoint analysis is the process of identifying, mapping, and understanding API endpoints in order to discover security weaknesses. Before exploiting an API, an attacker must fully understand what endpoints exist, how they behave, and what data they expose.
I’ll explain how understanding API endpoints—requests, parameters, and responses—can reveal common security weaknesses such as excessive data exposure and broken authorization. The goal is to show how small design decisions can lead to serious API vulnerabilities.
Speaker: Phalo-Mihlali Mbangcolo
My name is Phalo-Mihlali Mbangcolo. I am an aspiring Software Engineer with background in Python, HTML, CSS, API Security and Linux. I recently began my journey of learning JavaScript and my GitHub profile is filled with all my projects and everything I've built and completed. I have a certificate in Full Stack Development from the FNB App Academy.
I have also presented a talk titled "Threat Modeling in an API Test" at Jozi.JS in October 2025 and I did the same presentation in front of cybersecurity professionals at OxCON in November 2025.

Talk: How get good at leetcode
To get good at LeetCode, focus on mastering fundamental data structures and algorithms through a structured, pattern-based approach rather than memorizing individual solutions. Consistency is key, so aim to solve one or two problems daily while gradually increasing the difficulty from Easy to Medium. Finally, always analyze the time and space complexity of your code and review optimal solutions from others to refine your problem-solving intuition.
Speaker: Lesedi Jonas
My name Lesedi. I work at bbd. I am software engineer. I enjoy solving leetcode questions in my spare time and building stuff.
