Now it's getting warmer and so we are going outdoors again for some more portrait photography. A lot of members here are trying to make sense of all the things that go into making a beautiful portrait. I've received a load of emails on this subject. Let's master it this time!
Portraits are the most interesting images for people, and because shooting portraits is not that easy, a photographer can have loads of fun learning about how to make a compelling portrait. So how do we start?

Practice, practice, practice our portrait photography skills!
We had a great time at the last outing on shooting portraits at the Peak. We'll need more practice. So now we are getting our photographers together for another shoot.
Learn to light your subject. Lighting changes the mood of a portrait, so it pays to know in which light you can achieve a certain mood in a portrait. Use reflectors, speedlights, sofbox, anything to get what you want. Experiment!
We'll shoot at Victoria Park, again! It's a park in the city, convenient location and lots of transportation and food.

What you'll want to bring:

  1. Camera (any camera will do. Even iPhone camera)
  2. Reflector (if you have one, bring it)
  3. Speedlight ( if you don't have one, use natural light)

What's provided:

  1. Assistants (all of us will assist one another to hold reflectors, etc.)
  2. Models (all of us will be models)
