๐Ÿ’ฌ Talks

Simplifying Microservices
As a colleague of mine once said, โ€œonly a genius can control chaos.โ€ Since only 0.25% of the population can officially call themselves geniuses, itโ€™s better to keep our code simple. In this session, Iโ€™ve got your back and Iโ€™ll show you how to build a microservice with ease, using our open-source library Easy.
Iโ€™ll talk about software development, complexity and my own personal journey towards creating โ€œEasy softwareโ€.

Fine-Tuning Your Reactivity (Harnessing the Power of Signals)
In this talk, discover how fine-grained reactivity using signals can significantly enhance the performance and user experience of your web applications. This session will cover the advantages of signals in reactive programming, practical implementation methods, and strategies to create highly responsive components. The goal is to improve user interaction by optimizing component reactivity.

Simplifying Microservices
Microservices are hot and the monolith is dead, but how do you easily build a well-structured microservice? As a colleague of mine once said, "only a genius can control chaos." Since only 0.25% of the population can officially call themselves geniuses, it's better to keep our code simple. In this session, I've got your back and I'll show you how to build a microservice with ease, using our open-source library Easy. I'll talk about software development, complexity and my own personal journey towards creating "Easy software".

Rob Geurden
Hey there! I'm a self-employed software developer with a passion for creating elegant software solutions. My love affair :-) with computers began when I was just 5 years old and my parents bought a Commodore 64. Since then, I've been hooked on programming and constantly learning new things. Over the past 17 years, I've gained experience in software architecture, full-stack development for web and mobile apps, design patterns, and agile methodologies.

How to reduce stress and pressure as a JS developer
Learn and experience 3 great tools to change your resilience instantly and consistently towards pressure and stress. Not just for yourself, but also be able to see and assist co-workers, family, or other loved ones if they experience stress.

Maarten Oude Rikmanspoel
I love working with both technology and people. Currently working as a freelance data engineer and business intelligence specialist to satisfy the tech part of my heart. Fell in love with Python in 2017 after unsuccessful relationships with Java and C++ in the past. Applying this in various industries and companies. In parallel, Iโ€™m creating CalmCode.nl for the past 1,5 years with the aim of guiding software developers, IT- and data specialists towards less stress and burnouts
