Agenda of the evening:
- 18:00 Doors open
- 18:30 — Welcome and introduction to GitHub Copilot
Key features, practical examples, and an overview of agent-driven development.
- 19:00 — Hands-on workshops in small groups
- Planned workshop options include:
o GitHub Copilot App Workshop: explore agent-driven development, from picking up issues and running agents to reviewing changes and merging pull requests.
o Agent Lab — Java: build a Social Bingo application with Java and Spring Boot using GitHub Copilot’s Agent Mode in VS Code.
o App Modernization: use GitHub Copilot to modernise a legacy Java application, including upgrading from Java 8 to 21, adding health endpoints, and containerising the application.

Please bring your laptop to the workshop. You will need a GitHub account; if you do not have a GitHub Copilot licence, please have a personal GitHub account ready for workshop access.
