What weβre about
Jugger is an exciting alternative sport like no other - a soft combat sport that combines strategy, teamwork, dueling and running. If you're looking for a fun new activity with which to keep fit and meet a community of fun people, look no further!
Here's three great reasons to try jugger:
- Exciting, adrenaline-pumping action: With a variety of padded foam equipment and strategic teamwork, jugger is highly competitive and heaps of fun!
- A Great way to keep fit: Jugger involves a lot of full body movement in dueling and running around the field. It's a great way to work out your cardio!
- Friendly, inclusive community: Whether you're a seasoned athlete or a complete beginner, Jugger is a place for everyone. Join a community that values diversity, sportsmanship, and the sheer joy of playing together.
Jugger Melbourne meets every Sunday for training, games, and socializing. We often start our sessions with a variety of skills and teamwork drills, before moving onto full games of Jugger. Then after training we often go together to lunch to chat and socialize.
So gear up, grab a spar, and we'll see you on the field!
How to play
For a quick rundown of the rules, check out the following video (Australian rules are 99% the same): JUGGER RULES in 5 minutes EXPLAINED
Don't worry if you don't understand something or haven't watched it, we regularly have first time attendees who have only seen or heard of the sport but no idea how it's played. Our experienced coaches will explain the basics and get you up and running in no time. Our training sessions also have a large focus on skills and teamwork development, not just games.
