Cambridge Area Julia Users Network (CAJUN) Meeting (6th of December)

Details

We will welcome Denis Titov, who will give a talk. The location will be "Seminar Room G449 (Patil/Kiva)" at the Stata Center at MIT. We will start at 6pm, with the talks+questions taking roughly 1 hour (after which people are welcome to stay and socialise). Food will be provided. Any questions can be asked at the #boston-local channel at the Julia Slack.

Note that there will be a sign-in sheet at the venue, please fill this one in (needed for pizza funding).

A biologist trying to use Julia to study the control of human metabolic pathways (Denis Titov)
This will be an application-focused talk where I will describe how my lab uses various Julia packages to study the control of human metabolic pathways and also discuss our long-term dream of developing a model to simulate human metabolic activity in any cell type under any condition. We have exclusively used Julia in our simulation work, and it would be wonderful to hear feedback from the Julia community. You can find a bit more info about what I do here: https://denistitovlab.org
