Hello, I'm Anna and I intend this group to be quite informal and convivial: as a way to meet like-minded people, to expand and broaden our knowledge, our thoughts, our eloquence and our intellectual abilities. This will be a precious opportunity for us to talk about subjects that are rarely touched upon in the general population and also of course for us to have a good time in a more intimate than academic format. The image I have of this group his of old societies like those of alchemists, mystics and writers! 🥰🙏🔮✨
You are welcome even if you are new or newish to C. jung, as I am too :)
For our first meeting, I have the idea of exploring books and ideas that aren't necessarily exclusive to Jung himself but that gravitates on the subjects he ponders about and that still fits in his framework such as psychospirituality, fairytale analysis, theology, gnosticism, metaphysics, mysticism, alchemy, symbolism, even a collection of poems on those themes would be lovely! And of course a book from him directly would be great too :) Personally I'm particularly a fan of his typology, hence me wanting to revive the old Meetup group named "jungian typology".
Those are the topics that come out at the top of my head at the moment but you can of course bring other ones, and even podcasts, articles or posts on the internet!
We could then afterwards assess our preferences on different topics for the following meetings and decide where we go from there. Like for example picking a particular book and then discussing it or about a paragraph that we liked, doing dream analysis on eachother (so fun!!), drawing intuitively or writing together, etc. Lots of ways to go about this! ☺️
