Kemet–Egyptian Creation Mythology
The Family Genealogy of the Kemet-Egyptian Gods and Goddesses from the African Diaspora
Description: The family genealogy of Kemetic–Egyptian Gods and Goddesses is introduced, as they appear in Kemetic-Egyptian Creation mythology from the African Diaspora. The Trinitarian Myth of Osiris, Isis and Horus is featured prominently in a case study discussion of archetypal countertransference and transference phenomena in the long term psychoanalysis and treatment of a person with complex trauma who presents with symptoms of major depression and severe anxiety disorder. The progression of the analysis illustrates through a series of dreams that symbolize the resurrection of the human spirit and the alchemical nature of the transformation of complex trauma from tragedy to cultural norms of grief and mourning. The subject was able to work through his paralysis to move forward along pathways of individuation opening in his life. The role and importance of mythology in analytical theory and analytical practice are underscored.
