Alwyn Davis is a seasoned technical professional with over 15 years of experience in software development, technical consulting, and system administration.

Currently, he is a Technical Director at Instaclustr, an open-source solutions provider, where he has been leading technical teams for over 8 years.

Alwyn's expertise in frontend development, SQL Server database system administration, and enterprise search services has been honed through his extensive work with clients from various industries in Australia and the United Kingdom.

Prior to Instaclustr, he worked as a Senior Technical Consultant at Accsys Consulting and Funnelback, and as a Website and Application Developer at the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care.

Alwyn will be talking about the Software Development Lifecycle that they use at Instaclustr. What they got right, what they got wrong, and everything they learned along the way.

David Smyth - Head of Product @ DuckDuckGo

From Good to Great: How Product Management Skills can boost your developer career.

David Smyth is a seasoned product leader and startup founder with over a decade of experience in building and scaling products across various industries.

He has worked with high-growth startups like Cabify, PINCHme, and the Lux Group, leading their product and design teams through periods of rapid expansion and IPO-readiness. David is also an advisor to Runa, a YC-backed company reinventing payroll experiences in Latin America.

David will be sharing insights and lessons learned from his career in product management and how these types of skills transfer into becoming a better and more senior developer.
