At Watchful, we’ve learned that building tools for our users - means meeting them where they are. Interestingly, many of them are far more comfortable in the world of gaming than in traditional enterprise software. In this talk, Young-Ju Lee and Connor Hare will explore how we tapped into that familiarity, using user feedback and research to redesign our input systems.

With over a decade of experience in Engineering Leadership - spanning Startups, Design Agencies & Publicly Listed Companies, Lindsay has personally created, ran & participated in many Graduate Programme's involving hundreds of applicants. Lindsay has witnessed fresh grads turn into thriving, long-term tech professionals. Today, Lindsay is here to share some of the biggest lessons learned from those years both personally and talk about the things that really make junior engineers succeed in the wild world of tech.

• As Global Head of Engineering at Vista Group Lindsay Jopson spends most of his time scaling teams, attempting to remove unnecessary overhead, shape engineering culture, and figuring out how to make large groups of very smart people around the world pull in the same direction.

• Young-Ju is an experienced software engineer and consultant with more than four years of experience in delivering responsive applications tailored for enterprise clients with complex organisational structures to drive business outcomes.
  Her expertise includes using Redux and TypeScript to enhance application performance and maintainability.
  Connor Hare is a developer with four years of experience building SaaS applications, with a passion for hackathons and rapid prototyping. He enjoys tackling challenges under pressure and creating innovative solutions. Outside of coding, he pursues photography, capturing moments with the same attention to detail that he brings to his software.
