In Silent Spring, Rachel Carson sounded an alarm that the world wasn't quite ready for, tracing the quiet devastation that pesticides were leaving across ecosystems, backyards, and the food we eat. With meticulous research and the soul of a poet, Carson didn't just write a science book; she wrote a reckoning. One that helped spark the modern environmental movement and made people ask a question we're still sitting with today: what have we done, and is it too late to listen?

After reading, will you ponder what's happening in our own yards, our neighborhoods, our watersheds? What are we tracking inside on our shoes, breathing in on a summer afternoon, or passing along to the birds and bees we haven't noticed going quiet yet?
Come ready to reflect, share, and, as always, enjoy some light refreshments.

Registration (via acuity) is required to attend. Thank you for understanding. Our Book Circle is free.

Open to middle schoolers (13+) to Adults
