Winn Camp/Paddle/Hike

Let's get out of the heat and try a NEW place in the White Mountains near Greer!
*Winn Campground sits at 8500' so be prepared for afternoon showers and very cool, dark sky nights.
*Feel free to come up on Thursday to make it worth the 4 hour drive from the valley.
*Make your own reservation at www.recreation.gov
Cost is $26/nt or $13/nt with America the Beautiful pass.
To keep us all together, try for sites 1-37.
*Winn has a host, pit toilets, dumpster, water spigots, tables and fire pits.
*Paddling at Reservation Lake, Big Lake and others nearby will be discussed at camp to determine what people want to do depending on lake levels.
*There are also hikes near the campground and beautiful drives toward Sunrise ski resort.
*Let's plan on a fun potluck dinner on Saturday, so bring something to share.
*Driving Directions
From Show Low, Arizona, take Highway 260 southeast for 34.5 miles. Turn right (south) onto Highway 273 and follow it for 10.5 miles. The campground is on the left.

What to bring:
•Hat, sunscreen, PFD (life vest)
•Kayak, paddle, gloves
•Camp gear, food, water, TP
*Hiking boots/sticks
•Hammock (optional)
•Games (optional)
•Firewood? Fires may not be allowed that time of year.
•Gas firepit (optional)
•POTLUCK ITEM TO SHARE
•PFD's must be worn properly while on the water.
*No alcohol consumption while on the water.

WAIVER,RELEASE,AND ASSUMPTION OF RISKS
I hereby waive, release and discharge the Meetup group Just Add Water Paddlers and it's leaders, organizers, members and participants from any and all claims for personal injury, illness, property damage or death resulting from my, and that of my guest(s), participation in any of the group's events. I acknowledge that the event has risks, and I assume these risks with the full understanding that injuries may result from my participation in any event. I intend this release to discharge the above named from any and all liability arising from or connected in any way with my participation in any event, even though that liability may result from the negligence or carelessness of the above named.
I certify that I am of sufficient physical condition to participate in this event, and that my equipment is in proper condition for use at the event.
I have read this waiver and release and fully understand its terms and agree that it shall be binding on my heirs and assigns. I consent to emergency transportation and care at my own expense if I become injured or ill.
GUESTS: My guest(s) have read this waiver, and have agreed to it. I accept full responsibility for my guest's safety and behavior.
