Just Jammin’

We are starting a meet-up group to enable musicians and singers to enjoy playing together in a relaxed atmosphere without necessarily having to perform.
Depending on the level of interest We have a couple of possible options for a venue, currently in Liverpool, but it’s possible venues could rotate if it’s workable.

We might meet twice a month for now and see how things develop. It will be midweek, early evening.

Type of music?
The current possibilities are only suitable for acoustic instruments ( maybe also a discreet bass).
Covers of songs most people might know.
Most genres, but nothing too heavy (it’s acoustic!).
It would be nice if we can get some harmonies in.
My choices will probably reflect the fact that I am very old, but it will be good to share ideas.

It’s not an open mic’ thing. It’s just jammin’, although initially there might be the need for a steer, to develop complimentary parts and in particular harmonies, so that we’ve got some “go to” songs for the future.

This won’t be for complete beginners, but don’t feel you have to be a maestro.
As long as you have the competence to contribute to the mix, either with instruments or vocals.

Let me know if you are interested and what you can bring to the group ( eg instrument /vocals). It will help with the planning.
An early response will be helpful, so that we can decide on the venue.
