What we’re about

Just Lunch brings together women aged 45+ (with some flexibility) for bi- weekly Women's Social Lunches on Fridays. I founded this group to facilitate connections among women who can join us for lunch at various local restaurants. If you're available or can adjust your schedule to meet for lunch in our vibrant city, this is the ideal opportunity.

We are a group of open-minded, drama-free, kindred spirits who come together to share our passions and support one another. Our gatherings offer a unique chance to engage in meaningful conversations, share laughter, and potentially cultivate new friendships over a delightful meal. Whether your aim is to expand your social circle, forge lasting bonds, or unearth exciting connections, our events provide the perfect environment to thrive. Your next profound friendship might just be a lunch away.

Group Rules/Policies

New: RSVPs Will Now Open Two Weeks Before Each Event
Opening RSVPs two weeks before each lunch will keep the date fresh in mind, help members gauge their availability, and give more people a fair chance to attend.

New: “Newbie Lunches” Every Couple of Months
These will be for members who are new, haven’t been able to attend yet, or are feeling unsure. I know it can be intimidating to join a group where friendships have already formed, especially as we get older. This will be a comfortable, welcoming way to start.

New: Last-Minute Cancellation Rule
If you cancel under the 24-hour mark more than once or become a frequent last-minute changer:

  • You will be moved to the waitlist for future events you have RSVP’d to
  • You will only get a spot if one opens after the event fills
  • If the pattern continues, you will be temporarily removed from the group until you are able to commit more consistently

Existing Rule (agreed to when joining)
If you no-show twice without notice, you will be temporarily removed from the group until you are able to commit more consistently.

Housekeeping Tip
If you are on the waitlist and can no longer attend, please change your RSVP to “Not Going.” When a spot opens after RSVPs close, I contact members in waitlist order with a short window to reply before moving on. Updating your RSVP saves me time and ensures seats are filled fairly.

Inactive Member Policy
Members who have not attended or RSVP’d to any event in four months or more will be temporarily removed from the group. A large number of inactive members can give the impression to new members that events are harder to attend than they really are. This change will help keep the group active, welcoming, and vibrant. Removed members are always welcome to rejoin when they are ready to participate again.
